"He acts like a child who has never been disciplined." If you only knew how much time this kid spent in time out or writing, "I will be good in school"....
"He acts like a child who has been abused." Will you people make up your mind? Oh, and if you're calling to report us to the Division of Chld & Family Services, please ask them to provide us with experienced respite providers, therapists, etc..
"Can't you control your child? If he can't sit still he doesn't belong in church" No we can't control him. But when we're praying for God to help him with his social skills, we'll ask him to improve yours too!
"I thought your child had autism. But he's talking!" You're right. What were we thinking? But you see, autism is a spectrum.....
