Full Love Ahead

Whether its elevators,telephones, dinosaurs, planes, trains or whatever, chances are there's something special that grabs your child's attention most of the time.   We're collecting the best of the best of funny stories relating to these topics.

A disco light, infinity light, fiber optic light, plasma light, lava light, traffic light, neon light, strobe light, some black lights and strings of Christmas lights decorate his room.   They all need to be on at the same time.  Extension cords feed into power strips.    Kevin feels calm when they're on.    Mom and Dad can relax when Kevin is calm.

One neighbor told Mom that from outside it looks like there's a close encounter going on in the house.

He’ll offer to show you his and ask to see yours.   Yes, Timothy loves vacuum cleaners.  He spins the wheels, connects and disconnects the attachments, and repeatedly pulls and retracts the cords.     He knows all the brands, models, styles and features.      His teachers call him “Tim”.  But those closest  to know he likes to be called  “Dirt Devil”.

Young Janet was calm now, staring intently at the shiny watch her Mom had handed to her.  Mom learned to be prepared and always had a few inexpensive watches in her bag.    She smiled at her daughter thinking, at least she'll always know the correct time.     

The man looked startled when the  little girl grabbed his wrist.   He accepted her Mom's explanation that Janet has autism and is obsessed with watches.   He forced a smile and quickly walked away. 

Stevie sings, dances, talks and thinks about Elvis Presley.   His room is full of posters, CD's, books, sheet music and souvenirs from Graceland.    He's too young for sideburns, but not too young for a guitar.    He's also got a jumpsuit, wig, glasses and microphone.   His parents hope he'll enjoy a successful career as an impersonator.  

Jake is passionate about maps.  The walls of his room are covered with city maps, state maps and world maps.  He’s got several Atlases and a couple of globes.    He will tell you all about legends and scales and orientation.  He loves to go to the mall and study the mall directories.  He’s drawn maps of his neighborhood, his school and his house.    On his bedroom door is a map of the upstairs of his house, where he’s written the words in bold , “YOU ARE HERE”.
